Renata Mroczek is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lodz, where she also completed postgraduate studies in European funds. She also completed postgraduate studies in management at the Poznan University of Economics and Business. She holds the qualifications of a Representative for Integrated Management Systems in the field of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management.
She is an expert in the field of energy law and administrative proceedings, including administrative liability for violations of statutory obligations and licensing conditions.
She has been with the Energy Regulatory Office since April 2017, serving as the director of the Central-Western Regional Branch based in Lodz – the largest regional unit covering the Masovian and Lodz voivodeships. There, she handled numerous issues in the field of heat and electricity (including energy storage and RES), gas fuels, and liquid fuels.
As deputy chair of the Heat Engineering Team, she actively participated in preparing a range of solutions supporting investment and transformation in the heating sector, along with the development of a new regulatory model.
In October 2024, following an open competition, she was appointed Vice-President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
She was appointed as President of URE by Prime Minister Donald Tusk on August 11, 2025. The appointment was preceded by an open and competitive recruitment procedure.
Previously, after a brief experience in banking, she was involved in healthcare for over a dozen years, most recently as deputy director of a multi-specialty hospital – one of the largest facilities in the Lodz voivodeship, where she gained broad competencies in managing people and complex organizational structures, multi-million projects, and processes.
In her work with people, she believes most in dialogue, partnership, and the power of relationships.

Sławomir Staszak, Acting President of the Management Board

He has many years of experience in the gas industry, having been directly involved in creating the concept for the operation of the national natural gas transmission system operator in Poland since 2003.
Between 2004 and 2008, Sławomir Hinc served as Chief Financial Officer at PGNiG Przesył (now GAZ-SYSTEM). He was responsible for cooperation with the Energy Regulatory Office, negotiations for the leasing agreement of transmission assets transferred by PGNiG to GAZ-SYSTEM as a dividend in kind. The new president of our company also supervised the process of obtaining the gas transmission license for GAZ-SYSTEM. From 2006 to 2008, he served as the company's proxy. He is the author of its first transmission tariff. He was responsible on behalf of GAZ-SYSTEM for the transfer of Regional Transmission Branches from the structures of PGNiG S.A. to GAZ-SYSTEM in 2005. From 2008 to 2013, he was Vice President for Finance at PGNiG. He was responsible, among other things, for carving out the storage system operator (OSM) from PGNiG, establishing the company currently operating under the name Gas Storage Poland, and introducing storage services to the market. Between 2008 and 2014, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of EuRoPol GAZ. In 2010, he was appointed to the Governing Board of EUROGAS, the European association of gas and oil companies in Brussels, where he served until 2015.
From 2013 to 2016, he served as President and Managing Director of PGNiG Upstream Norway, where he was responsible for acquiring PGNiG's stakes in 4 fields, for which he received the Gullkronen Award for the best transaction on the oil market in Norway. He also supervised the expansion of PGNiG's exploration activities in northern Norway, including the acquisition of exploration licenses in the Barents Sea. Between 2019 and 2024, he was associated with the renewable energy industry, first as an advisor to the board, and then as a member of the Supervisory Board of Helioexpert. Since 2019, he has been the president and managing director of Green Genius – the Polish branch of the Lithuanian PV farm operator.
He holds an economic education from the Institute of Foreign Trade at the University of Gdansk and a PhD in technical sciences from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in tariff systems in gas transmission. He also studied at the Universities of Vienna and Berlin. He completed the postgraduate Comprehensive Business Management Programme organized by Central Connecticut State University. He is a lecturer for postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology and the AGH University of Krakow in the areas of transport, tariffing, and natural gas market regulation. Author of several publications on natural gas tariffing and transport.

He performed his doctoral studies at the AGH University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Electronics.
He has 19 years of experience in the energy industry. He was responsible for asset management, distribution investments, and the development and implementation of investments in the field of renewable energy sources. He has extensive managerial experience in areas such as: network operation, network investment and development, innovation and new technologies, and cooperation and relations with local government units. He also managed work in the areas of internal development of RES projects, finance and controlling, corporate management, and procurement.
Since 2023, he has served as Vice President of the Management Board for Operations at TAURON Dystrybucja. From 2021 to 2023, he was Vice President of the Management Board of TAURON Zielona Energia sp. z o.o. Previously, at TAURON Dystrybucja, he held the positions of Director of the Network Investment and Development Department and Asset Director at the company's branches in Krakow and Tarnow. He began his career in the energy sector in 2004 at ENION S.A. as an engineer in the Network Development and Maintenance Department.

For over 10 years, he has sat on the supervisory boards of commercial companies, including those in the financial markets, telecommunications, healthcare, and leisure industry. In the past, he was, among others, a member of the supervisory board of a leading Polish telecommunications operator and cybersecurity service provider.
Currently a member of the supervisory board of the Armenian Stock Exchange (AMX) based in Yerevan, appointed by the Warsaw Stock Exchange (majority shareholder).

A local government official with over 20 years of experience responsible for the development of entrepreneurship, innovation, and energy in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Since 2020, she has coordinated the activities of the Pomeranian Platform for the Development of Offshore Wind Energy in the Baltic Sea, which brings together over 140 signatories, including mostly entrepreneurs. She served as a rapporteur on the management board of the
organization bringing together the regions of the Baltic Sea
